We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to expand our retail branded and private label business by securing opportunities in untapped segments. The ideal candidate will deliver tailored solutions to meet the unique demands of convenience stores, wholesale clubs, healthcare providers, and educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your established relationships with key decision-makers in target sectors to develop branded and private label product programs.
- Identify and secure new accounts
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans specific to each channel’s purchasing processes.
- Present the benefits of our product portfolio to prospective clients, ensuring alignment with their needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships as the primary contact for sales-related inquiries.
- Close deals efficiently, ensuring seamless onboarding of new accounts and meeting sales targets.
- Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, production, and logistics, to ensure customer satisfaction and product availability.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on sales activities, goals, and account performance.
- Attend trade shows and visit client locations to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in retail food sales, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Established relationships with decision-makers in convenience stores, wholesale clubs, healthcare providers, and educational institutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the sales and operational dynamics within target sectors.
- Ability to independently manage accounts and execute strategies with minimal supervision.
- Capable of rapidly understanding and articulating the value of G.S. Gelato’s product portfolio.
- Skilled in developing and implementing channel-specific growth plans.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams to meet customer needs.
- Willing and able to travel frequently to meet clients, attend trade shows, and explore business opportunities.
