SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : No
Quality Assurance Specialists ensure the overall quality of print, broadcast and digital deliverables. Proofread content for grammar, spelling and punctuation against client and agency style guides. Quality Assurance ultimately strives to foster a seamless, efficient, consistent and bug-free experience that exceeds industry standards and user expectations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Proofread advertising materials, including scripts, layouts, comps, presentations and RFPs against client manuals and style guides and mark up via proofreading marks and digital interfaces.
Test digital media, cross-platform / device against requirements, specifications and comps. This may include mobile applications, websites, web-based games and banner ads.
Format documents to ensure adherence to templates for print ads, TV, radio and digital content.
Work closely with other QA Specialists and creative teams to ensure content is error-free, utilizes consistent language and adheres to clients' style manuals.
Maintain multiple client manuals with preferred styles, including logo usage, brand names, trademark symbols and other designated language, grammar and punctuation.
Maintain house style manual with preferred grammar, spelling and punctuation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong background in English language and grammar rules as they apply to the advertising industry
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat tools and MS Office products, especially Word
Ability to recognize patterns and deviations in language, grammar and design as well as font styles and type sizes; superb attention to detail
Proficiency with AP Stylebook and The Chicago Manual of Style
Ability to proof objectively
Ability to work rotating shifts with 1X monthly "on call" late nights and weekends
Working knowledge of QA methodologies and standards
Working knowledge of mobile devices, tablets, PC and Mac platforms, as well as various browsers and operating systems
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field : English, journalism, computer-related, advertising
Two years' proofreading experience is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Jira or other bug-tracking software
Experience with Litmus
Familiarity with macros and formatting documents in MS Word to adhere to template standards
Superb communication skills
Current on phrases and word usage that arise from trends, social media, new technologies and the like
