What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at GSE Construction?
Estimator in California
GSE Construction is looking for an estimator for projects throughout the western United States. All candidates will be considered regardless of estimating background and those with less experience will be provided coaching and mentorship. The following are desired but not required of the position:
- Reporting daily to an office in Northern California, Southern California, Idaho or Colorado. GSE has seven total locations in those regions.
- Experience in construction estimating, preferably knowledge of Division 4-10 but other specialties will be considered.
- Attending job walks and interacting with subs/suppliers throughout region.
- Knowledge of Intent to Bid software … knowledge of Smartbid a plus.
- Ability to juggle multiple bids/proposals and meet exact deadlines.
- Understanding of HCSS HeavyBid estimating software and/or Excel.
