Position overview: The Account Manager drives Good Source sales activities and revenue. This position works closely with various internal departments to produce revenue and growth within their target market. This role actively participates in sales and marketing initiatives and works with the sales team and our customers to drive new business opportunities and help define new product and service ideas. Responsibilities: - Reach out to customers, prospects and leads daily via telephone and email to offer products and services, uncover needs and solve problems.
- Establish sales pipeline to generate new business and further penetrate existing accounts.
- Meet key metrics: revenue, margin dollars, margin %, goals, and account penetration and growth targets.
- Timely address all customer service needs.
- Service all customers with activities to include, but not limited to, establishing credit, processing freight, storing product, placing orders, creating offers and providing product information and menu applications.
- Minimum quarterly travel to customers and prospects to strengthen and grow relationships, to conduct presentations, and sampling of new products.
Expectations: - Consistently increase business in sales and margin dollars.
- Strengthen relationships with current customers and create new relationships with prospects.
- Establish yourself as a valuable resource to colleagues, customers and prospects.
- Achieve assigned sales quotas in designated strategic accounts

Performance Metrics: - Number of calls
- Number of sales orders
- Account penetration percentage
- Underserved account percentage
Dashboard Metrics: - Daily update of monthly “open” orders, including freight charges if applicable, with a sales dollar total, margin dollar total & margin percent all versus budget
- Daily update of monthly “invoiced” orders, with sales dollar total, margin dollar total & margin percent all versus budget
- Dashboard Item: Daily update of approximately what percent of my monthly budget I have obtained combining “invoiced” order information and “open” order information all versus budget
- Daily list of customers due for a “re-order” call & what they need to re-order
- Daily list of customers I have not communicated with in a set time period
- Daily list of customers who have not placed an order in a set time period
