About Us: We are GSG Holdings LLC, a NC-based franchised childcare operator and real estate development organization. GSG engages in multi-unit operations of The Learning Experience Childcare Franchises and the construction of childcare center buildings in NC and SC. The Learning Experience (https://thelearningexperience.com/) is one of the largest and most respected early childhood education providers, committed to fostering a positive, nurturing environment for both children and staff. As a multi-unit franchisee, GSG Holdings is dedicated to delivering high-quality educational programs and exceptional care across our TLE portfolio. We currently operate 6 locations in NC and SC, with six new center openings planned over the next three years.

History of GSG Holdings LLC: GSG began operations with the Ballantyne TLE center, which opened into a recession in 2010. Despite this, Ballantyne has built a reputation as one of the most well-run and higher-performing centers across the TLE system. In 2014, GSG engaged in real estate construction and added a second center in Tega Cay, SC – the first TLE in SC. In 2021, GSG constructed a center during the deepest moment of the Covid crisis, and Waxhaw opened in 2022. In 2023, the company expanded from 1 to 3 markets in NC/SC: Charlotte, Raleigh, and Charleston, SC. In 2023, GSG began operations in Charleston with a TLE center in Mount Pleasant, SC. Later that year, GSG agreed to purchase two centers from another franchisee in the Raleigh, NC area: Holly Springs & Apex. In 2025, GSG will add 3 more centers: Lake Wylie, SC; Rolesville, NC; and Fort Mill, SC.

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources function across GSG Holdings and its affiliated entities. This role is crucial in supporting our mission by ensuring our centers align with our educational values and business goals. The HR Manager will handle Talent Acquisition and Recruitment, Employee Engagement and Development, and People Operations while fostering a positive work environment.

Position Objective:

The candidate’s mission is to join a fast-growing childcare services organization where the HR function has not yet been independently defined. A successful candidate will leverage their self-starting, leadership, and HR technical skills to establish the HR function as a strategic strength of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment

  • Manage talent acquisition pipeline: document positions, recruit, manage pipeline, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Uniform Management
  • Policy Enforcement

2. Employee Engagement and Development – Define and Implement:

  • Learning and development programs
  • Employee retention and happiness initiatives
  • Standards for employee recognition and rewards
  • Annual performance management process
  • Employee surveys and continuous improvement

3. People Operations – Manage:

  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Health and Safety Compliance
  • Benefits Compliance
  • Record Keeping and Documentation
  • Policy Development and Review
  • Unemployment Insurance Management
  • Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Compliance
  • Annual Review of Policies and Procedures
  • Worker’s Compensation
  • Payroll Setup and Administration
  • Payroll Tax and Regulatory Compliance
  • SOC SC Classification
  • Payroll Reconciliation

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master's degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Relevant Experience: 5 years of HR management experience, with a strong background in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance; experience in the early childhood education sector or an industry with similar dynamics is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to define/establish/implement an HR function from scratch
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
