GSI is seeking a Senior Sustainability Analyst to support our clients in developing and enhancing their sustainability strategies and disclosures. GSI is seeking a Senior Sustainability Analyst to support our clients in developing and enhancing their sustainability strategies and disclosures. This role will primarily focus on helping clients understand, identify, and manage sustainability-related issues, while also ensuring they meet both voluntary and mandatory reporting requirements. Additionally, there are opportunities to work across the broader climate strategy landscape, including, but not limited to, climate transition and decarbonization planning, GHG accounting, and comprehensive sustainability compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client’s sustainability reporting and advise on sustainability initiatives.
- Engage directly with clients, including senior leadership, to provide education on climate-related topics, present and discuss your own analytical work and recommendations.
- Leading client’s sustainability reporting with leading standards and frameworks (GRI, IFRS, UNSDGs, ESRS).
- Lead client’s double materiality assessments.
- Support client’s voluntary sustainability disclosures, such as EcoVadis, through data and policy review and evaluation, stakeholder engagement and making recommendations for improvement.
- Draft client deliverables in collaboration with other team members.
- Contribute to GSI’s thought leadership through promotion with webinars, blogs, and other initiatives.

- Demonstrates strong people management skills; particularly the ability to support, coach and celebrate others to advance employee engagement and achieve results.
- Mentors junior staff in the proper planning and execution of projects, and in directing or conducting independent technical reviews of deliverable work products.
- Manages a team of two to five junior consultants.
- Identifies, evaluates, cultivates and manages partnerships and relationships with senior clients, external stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
- Effectively collaborates internally to bring our services to existing clients.
- Enhances GSI’s capability to support sales and delivery of Sustainability services.
Required
- 5-10 years of professional sustainability strategy experience either in consulting or working in-house
- Experience with CSRD reporting, GRI, SASB or IFRS, EcoVadis, and CDP
- Academic or professional experience in climate and sustainability reporting and organizational change management.
- Experience engaging cross functional teams to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in translating highly technical information for a non-technical audience through workshops and presentations.
