Financial Controller

Company Overview: A Private Equity fast-growing indoor eatertainment company based with over 30 locations nationwide.

Job Summary: Working fully remotely or in a hybrid model, the Controller, reporting to the SVP of Accounting, will be responsible for developing the company’s accounting team and managing all corporate accounting activities. This includes the month-end close process, preparation of financial statements, and internal and external reporting, as well as treasury and tax functions. Additionally, the Controller will lead the annual audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all corporate accounting activities including the month-end close
• process, preparation of financial statements, internal and external reporting.
• Manage the company's financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, laws, and standards.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for management, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage the company's cash flow and financial risk.
• Oversee Audit Process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Masters a plus.
• CPA certification is required.
• Six years of experience in accounting, including at least three years in a management role such as Accounting Manager, Accounting Director, Controller, or a similar position.
• Experience in retail, restaurant, or other multi-unit retail organizational structures required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting and financial principles
• Experience with financial systems and software, Netsuite experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
