Department Description
The Data and Predictive Sciences (DaPS) function in Research Technologies is focused on harnessing the power of GSK’s data to drive the discovery and development of medicines for patients. We collaborate with scientists across all of GSK to innovate, build, and deliver high-quality, high-impact, industry-leading data science solutions and predictive models to accelerate GSK’s medicine discovery pipeline. These solutions and models address a wide range of scientific areas including small molecule chemistry, antibody discovery, protein engineering, biophysics, human genetics, omics sciences, and both in vitro and in vivo studies.Job Description
We are looking for interns capable of delivering technical solutions that harness data to drive medicine discovery. These solutions can include, but are not limited to: cloud-based data pipelines, predictive and AI/machine learning (AI/ML) models, scientific data capture, scientific data visualization, and project analytics. Self-motivated learning and agile working will be important for the role. Interns will work with a matrix team of business partners, ranging from scientific experts to technology specialists. As such, strong communication skills are required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelors (juniors or seniors only), Masters, or PhD in a technology field (data science, computer science, engineering, etc) or in a relevant scientific field (physics, chemistry, biophysics/biochemistry, etc) with demonstratable computational skill.
- Scientific coding experience, preferably with Python or R languages.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship (May/June - August 2025).
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data wrangling and visualization preferred.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills.
- One or more semester(s) of research experience.

- Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Benefits
- While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.

This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.
In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.
Pay Rate Range: $21/hr to $40/hr
