The Associate Director will report on local, departmental, site, and global metrics, ensuring transparent and accurate compliance tracking. Additionally, this role will ensure the deployment of appropriate engineering, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Quality standards throughout the site, in alignment with Global Engineering and EHS Standards. The Associate Director of Engineering Compliance will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Work as a flexible and motivated member of the team.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Work (SW) applicable and for which training has been received.
- Ensure all engineering changes are documented and approved in advance.
- Always act in a safe manner, in compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act and all other relevant legislation and use GSK safety reporting systems to highlight potential hazards.
- Stay up to date with all training requirements, including both classroom courses and computer-based training through the 'My Learning' internal platform.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
- Act as the site point of contact for all new EHS Global Alerts and manage the reporting and close-out of any actions arising from alerts.
- Manage site compliance with Central Engineering initiatives, such as the management of Asbestos, Legionella, and Boilers.
- Represent Engineering at the Site Risk Management Forum.
- Ensure all identified risks have mitigation plans.
- Manage the close-out of risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure any new engineering risks are clearly defined and recorded.
- Act as the Engineering Standards Process Owner for Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 7 years of experience in Facilities Management (FM)
- 7 years of experience in Operations or Engineering leadership of engineering disciplines managing high-severity risk at R&D facilities.

- Managerial skills and leadership abilities, experience motivating and influencing senior executives and managers in a demanding and rapidly evolving environment.
- Exhibit the ability to think and act strategically, shown by initiating and engaging in long-term planning projects
- The ability to think and act strategically and initiate and engage in long term planning.
- Strong ability to act as a motivator of change.
- Consistently apply standards to ensure compliance, with a history of successful compliance audits or reviews.
- Possess technical expertise to communicate and manage complex technical issues, demonstrated translating technical data and articulating key messages to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Research & Development process and understand GxP requirements, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an R&D environment.
