In this role, you will be driving the planning and execution of orientation for newly hired managers into the organization, all learning journeys for new and established employees and ensure assets are built and approved. As the Director of Leadership Development, you will lead the build and execution of several developmental programs for the BU.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead critical activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
- Develop robust orientation journey for newly hired/promoted managers to get them acclimated to GSK, GSK Cultural Pillars and manager systems.
- Define, structure, plan and execute multiple programs that must be distinguished from each other with nuance skills that layer on each other.
- Provide organization to keep all projects in order and morning within time frames aligned on. .
- Provide valuation and opportunity assessment for new innovation opportunities that can increase skills and keep up with industry dynamics and meet business needs.
- Challenge existing thinking and contribute to developing disruptive leadership strategies and recommendations that impact our leader’s ability to drive demand within their respective functions.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS)/Coaching Platform
- Evaluate the current reports to assess trends, opportunities, and best practices to share with leadership team.
- Be the point person for Oncology for any and all leadership discussions.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree
- Minimum of 3 years previous learning and development experience working in the Pharmaceutical biotech and/or health care industry.
- Minimum of 1 project management experience.
- Minimum of 2 years development of people experience.
- 50% nationwide travel for training events, sales leadership meetings, and field rides.
- Minimum of 1 year of content creation and approval of content internally.
- High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies
- Ability to communicate with various internal stakeholders at high levels.
- Previous people leadership experience.
- Ability to influence without authority across matrixed organizations
- Substantive project management experience that can keep multiple projects on track
- Experience vetting vendors and keeping vendors accountable for timetables agreed upon.
- Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and creating learning journeys
