Are you looking for an opportunity to enhance your facilities expertise while providing technical support for capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades involving stationary and rotating equipment? The Facility Services Technician will be responsible for providing input to the Manager Facility Services when discussing departmental decisions concerning maintenance and repair of the building infrastructure. The typical work hours for this position are a standard workday and 40-hour work week. Technicians will have increasing levels of responsibility as they move up in grade. Technicians are responsible for service calls, and in-house repairs throughout the facility. They also make periodic or special inspections of equipment to ensure operability and to determine necessary repairs. They may work from rough sketches and drawings. They must also understand and abide by applicable cGMP requirements. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.

These responsibilities include some of the following:

• Must work effectively with outside contractors.
• Assists with the development and improvement of department procedures, documents, and operating and maintenance procedures.
• Works and participates effectively in a team environment, within the department, with other departments and with outside contractors.
• Requires supervision of outside contractors performing facility and equipment related services.
• Requires technician level operation of the MERP data base.
• Assist facility technicians with preventative maintenance and work order activities.
• Must perform custodial and site inspection tasks, including grounds, roofs, ceiling tiles, lighting, elevators and fire suppression equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• 2 years' experience in facility maintenance
• Must be able to lift 40lbs
• Must be able to operate heavy machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Facility/Building Management IT System knowledge
• Familiarity with good manufacturing practice plant operation, safety and regulatory requirements
• Aptitude for creating written procedures and maintenance plans
• Knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to problem solve and utilize learning and critical thinking
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• 2 years' experience in a production environment

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $29 to $48 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
