GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a dynamic secondary school in Southamptonto make a difference and foster a love for learning.

About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students. You will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities Of Cover Supervisor (CS)

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a smooth learning experience for students.
• Maintain classroom discipline and engagement, following the school’s behaviour policies to foster a respectful and productive environment.
• Provide support and guidance to students, encouraging participation and independent learning.
• Adapt to different subjects and year groups, demonstrating versatility and confidence in diverse educational settings.
• Liaise with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and provide feedback on student progress.
• Uphold the school’s values, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  
  

Requirements Of Cover Supervisor (CS)

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor (Secondary) or in a similar role is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Applicable for secondary schools.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young adults.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

To work with GSL Education as a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will need:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
