Job Title: Early Years Practitioner for Primary

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Salary: £12.83 per hour

Start Date: Easter 2025

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-Time Can Be Arranged for the Right Candidate)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join a primary school in Southampton. This position is perfect for someone who is dedicated to early childhood education and eager to support young learners in their crucial developmental years.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children’s early development through play-based and structured learning activities.
• Assist in planning and delivering lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports young children’s growth.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance learning experiences.
• Observe and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  
  

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in an early years or primary school setting is desirable.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or a related field is advantageous.
• A patient, caring, and creative approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained).
• An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
