About The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5.
- Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Take part in parents’ evenings, report writing, and departmental meetings.
- Encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for scientific learning through practical and theoretical lessons.
- Maintain strong classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department to ensure high standards of teaching.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- The ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality education and continuous professional development.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
- A full-time teaching position in a supportive and well-equipped secondary school.
- A collaborative teaching environment with access to excellent resources.
