Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For
- Teach mathematics across various key stages, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive and aligned with the national curriculum.
- Foster enthusiasm for mathematics by demonstrating its relevance and applications in everyday life and future careers.
- Assess and track student performance, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum content and teaching strategies.
- Encourage high standards of achievement, behaviour and participation among students.
- Stay informed about developments in mathematics education, integrating innovative practices and resources into your teaching.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong command of the subject.
- A comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
