Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate/ Easter 2025 start

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN needs, ensuring they are engaged in lessons.
- Assist in the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), adapting support to meet individual needs.
- Use assistive tools, sensory resources, and structured interventions to enhance learning.
- Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies, using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lesson materials and monitor student progress.
- Provide pastoral support, ensuring students feel safe, supported, and encouraged.
- Assist students with personal care tasks or mobility needs, if required, maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Experience supporting children with SEN (desired but not essential).
- A strong understanding of Autism (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, and other learning difficulties.
- University students and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply – this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in SEN education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
- Ability to use assistive technology and alternative communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton) is beneficial.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Competitive pay rate of £12.82 per hour, reflecting your skills and commitment.
