RE Teacher - Southampton, Hampshire

GSL Education needs an ambitious and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a secondary school in Southampton. This full-time role offers a competitive salary between £30,000 and £50,000 per year (depending on experience), with a permanent contract available after a successful probation period. The position is available from Easter 2025 to September 2025, providing a fantastic opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.

Key Responsibilities Of RE Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Encourage students to explore religious beliefs, values, and ethics, fostering respect and open discussions.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students of all abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and school initiatives.
- Uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour management, and student engagement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.
- Ability to inspire and engage students in meaningful discussions.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning needs.
- A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and respect within the school community.
- ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
