Role Overview
As a Secondary Teaching Support, you will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to enhance students' learning experiences. You will support students across various subjects, ensuring they remain engaged, confident, and motivated.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students across various secondary subjects.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Offer one-to-one and small group intervention sessions to reinforce learning.
- Work collaboratively with SEN and pastoral teams to support students with additional needs.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and resilience in their studies.
- Monitor student progress and report feedback to teaching staff.
- Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school environment, ensuring student well-being.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies in line with school and government regulations.
- Experience in teaching support, mentoring, tutoring, or youth work (preferred but not essential).
- A relevant degree or strong subject knowledge in secondary school subjects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff effectively.
- Part-time arrangements can be made for the right candidate, allowing for work-life balance while maintaining a rewarding teaching role.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting students of varying abilities.
- The ability to build strong relationships and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Secure a financially competitive hourly income of £12.83.
