SEN Teacher

Location: Portland

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)

Start Date: Immediate / April 2025

Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a dynamic school in Portland. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring each individual receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities Of An SEN Teacher

• Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
• Implement individual learning strategies and interventions to support student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as required.
• Maintain a strong focus on student well-being, social development, and academic achievement.
  
  

SEN Teacher Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs as a SEN Teacher.
• A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to differentiate learning materials to meet diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
