Key Responsibilities Of An SEN Teacher
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
- Implement individual learning strategies and interventions to support student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as required.
- Maintain a strong focus on student well-being, social development, and academic achievement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs as a SEN Teacher.
- A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- Ability to differentiate learning materials to meet diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
