Job Overview
The Digital Fabrication and Lamination Clerk assists with the completion of a variety of the operational tasks of the department. Digital Fabricators and Laminators need an understanding of the different media and ink types, how they interact with lamination, as well as all the properties and applications of all the substrate used.
They are responsible for the fabrication of jobs that are processed through the Digital Department, this includes but is not limited to application of lamination, cutting, and trimming of digitally produced signage.
The Digital Fabrication and Lamination Clerk is also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and the safe and proper use of the laminators and cutters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safe use of X-acto knives and proper use of the Laminator are essential
- Understanding how to complete print jobs according to specifications on the Production Order
- Making suggestions that may enhance cost, quality, efficiency, and delivery of products from the department
- Adequately proof all files according to the established procedures ensuring quality output
- Logging of all time and materials used in the completion of the various tasks associated with Digital prin
- Maintenance and usage of cutter, laminators, printers according to established procedures and guidelines
- Ensuring that deadlines on production are met
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with Cutting and Router machines preferred
- 2 years of practical experience in a closely related field
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage large workload, while producing quality work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and deadlines
- Ability to pass a basic skills test
- Ability to communicate (Read, speak, write, understand) in English
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Available for weekend work shifts & overtime as needed
- Safety conscious with ability to perform job functions in a safe manner
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
