The Accounts Receivable and Billing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily invoicing process and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of month-end close procedures for accounts receivable. This role supervises the accounts receivable invoicing team, enforces policies and procedures, and collaborates with internal departments to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing and collections processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily invoicing process to ensure accuracy and completeness of all customer invoices.
- Oversee month-end close procedures for accounts receivable, including reconciliations, reporting, and adjustments.
- Monitor accounts receivable unbilled reports to ensure invoices are generated on timely basis
- Issue daily open jobs report to management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all billing and receivables activities.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in invoicing and collections.
- Train, mentor, and supervise accounts receivable staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, to resolve billing discrepancies and improve customer experience.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable and billing performance.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related field.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, billing processes, and accounts receivable management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
