Job Summary:
Reports to the Plant Manager. The Fulfillment Manager is responsible for managing all the activities related to the Fulfillment process. These duties include: preparation, packaging, inventory and distribution of products. are also responsible for workflow management, staffing, employee issues, budgeting and development. They manage a large workforce of 3 shifts, of varying positions and fabrication machinery. They also balance multiple jobs and special projects simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages cohesive workflow process and process improvements
- Attends daily Production Meetings
- Manage and communicate department activities to ensure:
- Prioritization and expedition of all packing/shipping activities ensuring that correct work is flowing through department is accurate, efficient and meets deadlines
- Packing/shipping schedule priorities are communicated and executed within the department
- Establish (In conjunction with the Plant Manager) and analyze effectiveness of metrics
- Monitor collection methods, accuracy and reporting frequency for all metrics and data for improvement
- Ensures report data is accurate, complete, and collected on-time
- Analyzes data to measure and improve workflow management in order to meet metrics (Daily, weekly, monthly and annually)
- Data collection & reporting includes but is not limited to:
- Equipment utilization
- Packaging/Shipping Cost
- Packaging/Shipping Methods
- Remake quantity & costing
- Schedule Management Data
- Continued development and process improvement including but not limited to:
- Preparation, packaging & related issues
- Workflow process development
- Die-cutting
- Scoring, slitting & other fabrication
- Packaging
- Inventory Management & Control
- Responding to and resolving customer concerns as it relates to packaging
- Minimize freight expenses by being privy to shipping systems and delivery options
- Develop, maintain and manage the budget requirements of the department, including:
- Labor, materials, and work hours
- Provide regular status updates to senior management
- Leads by example by working hard and having positive interactions with other departments
- Refine, communicate, and manage to the department policies and procedures
- Develop programs and procedures to comply with OSHA safety regulations
- Hire, maintain, and refine the Fulfillment staff based on production requirements
- Conduct candidate interviews, maintain a productive staff and report staffing needs to Senior Management
- Establish and monitor all training activities for department
- Administer performance evaluations for employees
- All other duties as requested, including supporting other departments
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related field
- Minimum 3 years of management experience
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of Fulfillment systems, techniques, and principles, preferred
- Previous experience in Department budgeting and management
- Proficient in working on Computers and MS

Physical demands:
- PC/Keyboard: Working on computers, using keyboards and viewing screens
- Standing: Standing for entire assigned shift
- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (Includes upward pulling) of up to 50 lbs
- Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Feeling: Ability to identify texture of material such as if lamination has been applied and being able to distinguish different gauges of material thickness
- Talking: Verbal communication including giving instruction and exchanging information with necessary detail and delivery
- Hearing: Communication including listening to people convey instructions or conversation, and distinguishing noises from machines and within the plant
