Job Title: Supply Chain & Logistics Project Manager (PMP Certified)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with proven expertise in supply chain and logistics project leadership. The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional initiatives focused on optimizing operations, improving efficiency, and integrating logistics technologies across the global supply chain. This role requires experience leading complex projects, working with internal stakeholders and external partners, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end supply chain and logistics projects including WMS/TMS implementations, ERP integrations, facility expansions, and vendor transitions.
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, deliverables, resources, and budgets aligned with business objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (procurement, warehousing, transportation, IT, finance) to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and lead issue resolution across stakeholders and departments.
- Ensure adherence to PMP and PMO standards, incorporating both Waterfall and Agile practices where appropriate.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party logistics providers to ensure service-level agreements and milestones are met.
- Analyze logistics and supply chain KPIs to inform project decisions and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Provide regular project updates, dashboards, and reports to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in logistics operations and supply chain workflows.
Qualifications:
- PMP certification required; additional certifications like Lean Six Sigma or APICS/CSCP are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 7 years of progressive experience managing supply chain and logistics projects.
- Demonstrated experience with WMS, TMS, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA/Blue Yonder).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and global shipping operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with transportation routing, import/export compliance, and warehouse automation.
- Background in eCommerce or retail distribution is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a global environment.
- Strong financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
