Type: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $19.00 -$30.79 plus $4.93 an hour for Health & Welfare
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen
- Active/recent U.S. government security clearance
- Minimum of one-year hands-on experience with Cat5d, Cat6 cable installation, maintenance and repair, in an office and/or warehouse environment.
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience testing/termination of copper cable at phone closet to jack.
Desired:
- BICSI Technician I certification.
Job Description:
- Install and locate copper cable drops within an office space environment.
- Test and terminate at phone closet and jack locations for connectivity.
- Climb ladders and work for extended periods of time pulling cable through walls and overhead areas within a building space.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Talk and hear.
- Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
- Work in tight spaces.
- Lift and move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Drive from work site to work site as needed.
