The Assistant Payroll Administrator is responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager in ensuring completion of all payroll schedules within GT Independence, assisting Operational Unit Managers with coordinating compliance with internal schedules and completing all deposits for GT Independence payroll.

Description
The Assistant Payroll Administrator is responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager in ensuring completion of all payroll schedules within GT Independence, assisting Operational Unit Managers with coordinating compliance with internal schedules and completing all deposits for GT Independence payroll.
Responsibilities And Duties
Assist the Payroll Manager with the following:
- Producing and distributing all operational unit payroll reminders and updates
- Compile, measure and report all payroll metrics, proofing and posting
- Reporting on folder counts
- Completing and approving all deposits for all Operational Units
- Creating, maintaining and coordinating compliance of payroll schedules for operational units
- Completing all manual checks and void/re-issues to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Maintaining payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
- Ensuring adequate training of all operational Payroll Specialists
- Control and process the Turned/Failed/Refax/Roster/Other/Missing Pages/Trash payroll folders to ensure timely processing and accuracy
- Use appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding timeline or schedule concerns to Payroll Manager
- Complete all roles of Payroll Manager in their absence
- Upholds company values and mission
- Other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager, Operations Managers and Director of Operations
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Associates Degree preferred
- 2 years of experience relevant to the work performed
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective decision-making skills
- Ability to plan and organize the work involved in processing payroll and ensuring proper procedures tie to GT Independence software/accounting systems
- Strong ability to participate on a highly effective team.
