Accounting Administrator
GT ventures, LLC is an e-commerce furniture manufacturer in North Las Vegas, NV. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Administrator to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide team members of the accounting department
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries; ensure compliance with company’s policies and procedures
- Maintain and manage general ledger entry and processes including coding for invoices, preparing financial schedules and purchase requisitions, following up on vendor inquiries, and recording journal entries
- Oversee and review coding, posting, and receiving of payments
- Maintain cash and refunds schedules and monitor account status
- Successfully complete monthly close accurately and promptly; manage end of month processes and ensure accruals are appropriately completed each month
- Successfully reconcile accounts, such as balance sheets, income statements, and claims filed ensuring alignment with organizational guidelines
- Submit reporting packages to management for review and address relevant inquiries in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records including depreciation
- Gather, record, and analyze financial data, such as revenue, expenditures, and cash flow
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including sending payment reminders, processing bank deposits, and tracking invoices
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable
- Assist department management team with creating and implementing company’s financial strategic vision
- Collaborate with department management team to obtain all necessary information and explanations for all financial transactions
- Provide recommendations on fiscal issues, vendor inquiries, and the design of accounting systems
- Assist in the annual budgeting process for all company departments
- Create and/or update and communicate department/accounting policies and procedures; ensure that department/accounting policies and procedures comply with organizational guidelines
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of all function related to employees and company finances
- Ad hoc duties as requested
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related business curriculum is highly preferred
- 4-year minimum experience in accounting administration, fiscal management or similar is highly preferred
- 3-year minimum experience with accounts receivable and/or accounts payable is highly preferred
- 3-year minimum experience with End of Month closing processes and general ledger entry and maintenance is highly preferred
- 1 year minimum in leadership and/or supervisory experience
- Advance to expert working knowledge of MS Excel and/or Google Sheets; including but not limited to solid experience with manipulating large amounts of data, applying formatting rules to data, and using a look up value to retrieve data is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge and working experience in QuickBooks and/or similar accounting software is a must
- Strong knowledge and working experience of federal and state financial regulations, GAAP, and bookkeeping principles and procedures

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. This position collaborates with department managers in a manufacturing industry.
