Description:
The Human Resources Manager is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training, and organizational development. This role is critical in supporting a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters within the organization.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs that support the company's objectives and values.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, coaching, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Administer compensation, benefits, FMLA, leave of absence, and workers’ compensation programs.
- Lead annual performance review and goal-setting processes
- Ensure legal compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees to foster a productive and compliant work environment
- Develop and implement training and development initiatives to enhance employee capabilities and leadership pipeline.
- Partner with finance and operations departments to ensure consistent communication across functions.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data management.
- Prepare HR reports, analyze trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Represent the company during audits and external agency interactions, including OSHA and DOL inquiries.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of federal and Indiana state employment laws
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
