Field Technician

• Responsibilities include surveying customer locations and the surrounding Network in order to provide a local design solution for the delivery of service.
• This includes the identification of Outside Plant Fiber Optic Network elements in proximity to the customer and determining methods of delivery to the customers building.
• This role will require coordination with a variety of teams and will have direct contact with business and residential customers.
• Work will be performed in an outdoor environment and also indoors within customer premises.
• Planning and Designing additions upgrades repairs and enhancements.
• Selecting and pricing solutions based on the most effective efficient and timely design.
• Coordination with internal departments and customer focused communication with residential and business end-users building contractors and property owners to implement solutions appropriately.
• Creating winning outcomes for both company and its customers.
• The candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to make network design decisions based on recommended Engineering Guidelines and design criteria.
• Must possess the ability to interact with customers in a clear and concise manner in order to communicate and explain our service order process and the method of delivery.
• As a strong communicator the candidate must quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can understand.
• Even better if you have: Outside Plant Engineering Experience.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields.
• Experience with windows-based programs and corporate database systems.
• Experience with ICGS / IDDS and MS Office - Google Suite

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: On the road
