What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Admin Assistant position at GTA (Global Technology Associates)?
24X7 Operations Data Center hiring a Network Operations Engineer to support engineers. As a Network Operations Engineer you will provide technical expertise on a critical role involving network transformation network outages service issues network optimization and maintenance.
You will be responsible for providing support to keep things running smoothly and change the way that our customers live work and play.
On-site 5 days a week
MUST BE LOCAL TO Windsor Mill, MD
What will you be doing as a Network Admin Assistant?
- You will be supporting day to day switch activities
- Will need to carry equipment/packages
- Assist with shipping and receiving of parts and equipment.
- Provide on-site support at the switch, such as escorting vendors and answering phones.
- Consolidate reports and make the field engineering team aware of relevant information.
- Performing optimization troubleshooting and maintenance of network systems and applications to identify overall system availability and performance.
- Evaluating network coverage to find gaps making recommendations to improve coverage and helping to implement those recommendations.
- Performing triage fault isolation and remediation of network events.
- Generating driving and updating problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems and continuously improving business practices.
- Escalating issues to the appropriate internal/external engineer teams for resolution.
- Assisting with the cell site build program and switch inventory management.
- Assist with Return Merchandise Authorization RMA for the field Team.
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving for the field Team.
- Assist with PO creation and completing.
- Assist field team with managing power company accounts.
- Assist field team with various remote support when needed.
Requirements/Experience:
- Admin skills, ability to answer phones
- Strong Excel skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
- A technical degree in Electronics Telecommunications Computer Science Engineering Business or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies like Telephony Switching Data Communications and Network Routers.
- Computer support experience including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations.
- Vendor management experience.
