Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer filled with adventure, learning, and fun! As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, fostering friendships, and ensuring the well-being of campers while promoting their personal growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers in various activities including sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
- Implement daily schedules and ensure that all activities are conducted safely and effectively.
- Foster a positive camp atmosphere by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing new skills through tutoring or coaching in specific areas such as sports or theater.
- Assist in managing group dynamics and resolving conflicts among campers when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise during the camp session.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childhood development, classroom management, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in babysitting, childcare, or working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to educate or tutor children in various subjects or activities.
- Experience in sports coaching or leading physical activities is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to support campers' emotional and social growth.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to creating a positive camp experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed.
- Must be energetic, patient, and adaptable to changing situations within the camp environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
