Faculty will also be responsible for advising and recruiting students and collaborating with business and industry partners to provide necessary training and education. The faculty member must be able to demonstrate correct operation and supervise operation in all or most of the following areas listed: . Aircraft and trainers in the AST Program, after initial training. The individual must submit to assessments to determine courses they will be eligible to teach. Areas candidates assess at over 85%, they are eligible to teach. Faculty must be proficient in 75% of all areas of Aircraft General prior to hiring, in 75% of all areas of Airframe by the end of the second semester, and in 75% of all AMT areas before the end of the first year of employment. The individual must meet Transportation Security Administration (TSA) badging requirements to function in the Airport Operating Area at Piedmont Triad International (PTI) airport.
