Responsibilities include coordinating and arranging adequate front desk and support staff coverage and ensuring that excellent customer service is provided. Incumbent is also responsible for assisting in processing and maintaining employee records, tracking budgetary expenses, maintaining accurate purchasing, travel and accurate preparation and submission of departmental payrolls. Incumbent serves as Inventory Steward for Adult Education on the High Point campus and sends program communications to all members of the Adult Education team. The incumbent also provides administrative and technical support to the Associate Dean or Dean of Adult Education in the day-to-day operations of the program and acts as a liaison between the Associate Dean or Dean and college employees/students/ the public. Duties include handling confidential information with discretion, compiling and maintaining spreadsheets for budgeting and payroll purposes, and other vital reports to assist with budget preparation and management. The person in this position works under limited supervision and must exercise initiative and independent judgement in setting priorities and carrying out assignments.
