This position is responsible for moderately complex duties associated with the processing and completing of payroll transactions for the entire college. This includes the processing, reconciling, reporting and analysis of bi-monthly payrolls; maintaining and utilizing an electronic time keeping system; researching complex tax and benefits reporting requirements; interpreting and implementing college, state, local and federal policies and procedures pertaining to payrolls and benefits. Responsible for implementing college approved increases (Cost of Living Adjustments, Educational, etc.). The jobholder also provides internal audit reviews of selected transactions and assists with the College’s internal control review process. The jobholder plays a pivotal role during the closing process of each quarter, fiscal year, and calendar year under very strict deadlines.
