What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist position at GTEC?
GTEC is a locally owned and operated engineering firm that provides geotechnical, environmental, and construction services. Our markets include transportation, energy, water/wastewater, commercial development, industry, healthcare, education, and government. We are currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant.
As an Administrative Assistant, you are an invaluable team member who is critical to the success of GTEC. The front office runs great because of your efforts and leadership. Technology is second nature to you. You are at home utilizing computers, Post Machines, and other office equipment to complete administrative tasks. Answering phone calls and maintaining relationships with our clients is easy and natural for you with your exceptional communication skills. You are extremely dependable and put your best effort into all responsibilities.
You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of GTEC. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are areas we expect you to become proficient in:
· Word processing and data entry – you can type at least 65 words per minute
· Assembling reports
· Formatting, scanning, and transmitting documents
· Answering phones and delivering office mail
· Navigating and utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
· Learning and utilizing proprietary software
· Field and Office staff coordination and scheduling
· Document coordination
· Meeting deadlines and creating an organized environment
· Communicating effectively, both orally and written, with excellent people skills
· Assisting with internal and external company events
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· 0 years of experience
