We are seeking a skilled Industrial Coater / Powder Coater to join our team! If you have experience in industrial painting, powder coating, abrasive blasting, or metal finishing, we encourage you to apply.
Job Responsibilities
Metal Surface Preparation & Coating:
- Cleaning, prepping, and coating metal substrates to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Using abrasive blasting techniques to achieve the desired surface profile.
Application of Powder & Wet Coatings:
- Mixing and applying powder coatings, epoxies, primers, and topcoats.
- Using airless, air-assisted, and conventional spray equipment to apply coatings.
Equipment & Process Management:
- Setting up proper powder coating oven temperatures and batch curing settings.
- Maintaining and operating paint spray guns, powder coat booths, and finishing tools.
- Moving materials through the production process manually or with forklifts.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance:
- Inspecting finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
- Recording coating thickness (wet and dry) on daily logs.
- Keeping the work area and equipment clean and properly maintained.
Job Requirements
✔ 1 years of experience in Powder Coating or Industrial Coatings.
✔ Knowledge of abrasive blast cleaning and surface preparation.
✔ Familiarity with powder coating application in batch-style booths and ovens.
✔ Experience mixing and applying two-component primers, epoxies, and topcoats.
✔ Ability to use airless, air-assisted, and conventional spray systems.
Preferred Qualifications
✔ 3 years of experience in Powder Coating or Industrial Painting.
✔ Strong understanding of metal surface cleaning and preparation using hand tools, power tools, and abrasive blasting.
✔ Experience with powder coating process optimization and equipment maintenance.
✔ Ability to interpret and follow Product Data Sheets (PDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
✔ Proficiency in coating thickness measurement and documentation.
