Okta Engineer
Duration: 3-6 month contract to hire
Location: In office 3-4 days/week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Okta identity solutions to enhance security and user experience across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement identity and access management policies.
- Perform system integration tasks with existing applications and services to ensure smooth identity management processes.
- Monitor and manage Okta environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
- Conduct training sessions for internal staff on Okta usage and best practices.
- Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and implement recommended best practices for security enhancement.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and implementations for effective knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to identity management and security.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Okta's identity management platform and its underlying technology stack.
- Strong understanding of SSO, MFA, adaptive authentication, and user provisioning.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) to automate processes and enhance functionalities.
- Proficiency in API integrations and understanding of RESTful services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Desired Experience:
- 4 years of experience in identity and access management, with advanced knowledge of the Okta platform.
- Experience working in a collaborative and agile environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and communication.
- Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
- Prior experience in a financial services or technology company is a plus.
