Nurse Practitioner (Gastroenterology) - Panama City, FL
Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: 8 AM to 4 PM
Pay: $100K - $140K
Job Summary: Manage the health care for those clients for whom one has been educated. At this time, practice focuses on the gastrointestinal health care needs of patients, although one is trained and experienced in the acute care of all types of patients.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments focusing on gastrointestinal symptoms
- Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including endoscopy and colonoscopy, under supervision
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications related to gastrointestinal health
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for gastrointestinal surgeries

Skills
- Previous experience working in gastroenterology
- Advanced training or certification in gastrointestinal nursing
- Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal medications and their side effects
- Experience in conducting diagnostic procedures like endoscopy
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Active Nurse Practitioner license
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a focus on gastroenterology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience

Pay: $133,525.22 - $140,000.00 per year
