About the Role:
We are seeking a Packaging Operator to support operational functions, provide technical guidance, and assist with process improvements in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with packaging machinery, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including drum massagers, delumpers, filling machines, cappers, and automated labelers.
- Ensure product flow efficiency throughout the packaging process.
- Train and provide operational support to team members.
- Maintain a high-quality work environment and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with process improvement projects and system efficiency enhancements.
- Troubleshoot equipment and packaging-related issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Report potential hazards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (chemistry coursework or related experience is a plus).
- Experience: 2-4 years of packaging experience preferred (not required).
- Technical Skills: Forklift experience, GMP knowledge (preferred), and ability to operate packaging machinery.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Packaging Facility: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals (with required PPE), and varying temperatures.
- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, lifting (up to 55 lbs), and handling industrial equipment.
- Work Schedule: Night Shift | 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Rotating Schedule)
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Note: Candidates must be clean-shaven to comply with safety and PPE requirements.
