Sterile Processing Technician – Join Our Team!
We are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and the highest standards of care. If you have experience in sterilization procedures and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for various departments.
- Clean, disinfect, and decontaminate instruments and patient equipment following strict safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Operate semi-automatic and automatic sterilization equipment and washers.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and distribute sterile instruments and medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist in training and mentoring Level 1 Sterile Processing staff.
What You Bring:
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow protocols and maintain high attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in sterile processing or a related field.
- Certifications: Must hold at least one of the following:
- CBSPD (Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution)
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
- CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician)
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
