Job Description:
- Under general supervision, the Warehouse Operator performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
- Receive goods, verify items against the record of shipment, and inspect condition.
- Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used.
- Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
- The Warehouse Operator routes materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
- Completes written and computerized documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
- Prefer forklift certification.
- Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
- Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record may be required.
- Able to operate powered equipment such as a forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Notes:
- Sit down basiloid and regular forks; sit down forklift experience is preferred (basiloid is not required)
- Need someone who can unload trucks, pull orders, load customers, and general warehouse responsibilities
- Temp to hire if the headcount opens for the right candidate
