Job Summary
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Business Data Steward in the Finance Data Management department to be responsible for the data quality of assigned data objects.
This position will partner with the client workstreams, businesses as well as data owners, data management analysts, and specialists to ensure master data supporting workstream initiatives is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
The Junior Data Analyst will enjoy collaborating with other associates and team members and leverage strong communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Data Quality and Cleansing :
Junior Data Analyst will execute and define processes and procedures for monitoring, analyzing, correcting, and maintaining data for assigned data objects.
Leverage existing processes such as those managed and completed by the Enterprise Data Governance team to update governed master data objects.
Collaborate with existing data channels to gather and update master data within our client systems.
Engage with other data stewards, data owners, data management, and data enablement teams across clients to take appropriate actions with the goal of increasing the datas usability, quality, and fit for purpose for our business.
Partner with business and technical subject matter experts to identify, analyze, and document data migration cleansing and transformation rules from legacy source systems.
Collaborate with enterprise data management analysts and IT to resolve technical issues with data governance tools.
Create and facilitate training for internal and external stakeholders
Enterprise Information Management :
Work in partnership with others to lead data object EIM Working Group to define and set standards for the assigned object data
Resolve conflicts by applying creative problem-solving skills to mitigate disputes
Track and evaluate performance and collaborate with others to create efficiencies
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or data-related degree
1-3 years of experience in Information Technology or IT Business Systems
Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and accomplish objectives through direct supervision as well as influence across an organization
Knowledge and direct application of data governance or data management practices including business process flow diagramming and updating business process user guides
Experience with data quality management tools, analytics tools, and data analysis
Experience leading continuous improvement projects and tasks
Experience effectively using one or more ERP systems
Proficient in MS Office Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Additional Qualifications
Direct work experience within an SAP data management role
SAP MDG or similar master data governance / management tool experience
Experience within Agriculture and / or Energy industries
Note :
Monday-Friday 8-5, required in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote all others.
This is a hybrid position, reporting to the MN location two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
