Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall success of the second shift manufacturing team. They ensure production efficiency and champion quality and safety. They will manage the daily schedule and operations of the team to make good quality product that meets our goals.

Schedule
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 2 pm – 11 pm.
You are excited about this opportunity because you will:
• Partner with Director of Manufacturing to schedule people and products to be manufactured, ensure quality, and stay on budget.
• Adjust schedule, coordinate resources, and communicate with team to meet daily production goals; review and approve timesheets and time off.
• Foster a responsible, respectful and positive team dynamic; support employees to fully engage in their jobs.
• Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating performance of Production employees.
• Partner with Operations, People & Community, Quality leadership on corrective actions, disciplinary issues, and team building.
• Champion safety and ensure policies and procedures are followed; participate in safety-related training.
• Monitor product quality to ensure specifications are met and adjust processes or equipment to improve quality and/or productivity.
• Oversee regular maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality; recommend improvements; ensure Preventative Maintenance schedule is comprehensive and completed.
• Use Redzone application for real-time production monitoring, data analysis, training and compliance.
• Report all safety and quality issues and act as point person for troubleshooting problems.
• Work with the team to minimize production costs, optimize resource utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in preparing reports and communicating Production status updates.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements are followed.
• Regularly inspect the Production facility to ensure cleanliness standards are met; schedule and supervise sanitation activities, ensuring all areas are cleaned according to the schedule and procedures.
• Inspect and identify corrective actions daily and assign team members to complete.
• Partner with Quality team to problem solve and continually improve the sanitation program.
• Manage inventory of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and tools, ensuring they are properly stored and readily available.
• Ensure all documentation is completed correctly using the Redzone application.
We are excited about you because you have:
• 5 year experience in a food manufacturing environment with at least two years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Analytic skills to perform root cause analysis and problem-solve.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team; people development, team building, conflict resolution, and the ability to train.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, Sanitation SOPs, HAACP, OSHA and other quality and safety programs in food processing environments.
• Experience working with electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems used in food production such as: process piping, boilers, and air compressors.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize and make good decisions.
• A High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Ability to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime as needed.
Physical requirements include repetitive lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Salary : $89,000 - $108,000
