County Attorney's Office is accepting applications for a Clerk I (Discovery) position, with starting salary of $18.21 per hour. The essential duties are as follows:
This position provides a variety of accurate, general, and moderately complex support work involving typing and/or data entry skills for the County Attorney’s office in accordance with departmental procedures and regulations. This position understands and performs duties required to keep the office in compliance with Code Article 39.14 and 39.15 of the Code of Criminal Procedures of Texas Statutes, process discovery requests, copies, redacts, and converts video and audio files. Releases copies of evidence in criminal cases (discovery) in a timely manner to defense attorneys and fills in for other positions when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn other job related computer programs and systems.
· Excellent telephone communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working with legal documents, instruments, records, and reports.
· Prior experience scanning, imaging, indexing and familiarity with digital, video, and audio conversion software and procedures
