Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to process and report lab specimens.
Scope of Responsibility
As a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician you will perform and report results for routine and specialized clinical laboratory analyses, in accordance with established protocols, on specimens of all types. You will also assist Lead Medical Technologists and Laboratory Director as needed.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related field and MT certification by ASCP or equivalent certifying agency preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Technology and / or experience level for certification as required by Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI)
- 1-3 years of experience in an acute care facility preferred
- 1-3 years of blood bank experience preferred
- Numerical, clerical and computer abilities required
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Critical thinking skills necessary
- Micro experience preferred
