Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to w ork with reporting system to ensure that all reports are delivered correctly and when required resubmits data for fax work flow.
Scope of Responsibility
The Office Assistant / Transporter p erforms receptionist duties for scheduled and unscheduled Imaging outpatient procedures. Other duties to include are transcribing orders from ordering physicians to the Imaging information system, assist the Patient Access staff in ordering Imaging examinations when requested, provide patients and physician's offices with digital copies of images and reports. The Office Assistant / Transporter will also transport patients to and from the Imaging Department and assist technologist and nursing staff in transferring patients to and from bed stretchers and examination tables and communicate patient condition to and from nursing personnel and imaging technologists.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge in imaging reporting and PACS hardware and software systems preferred
- 1 to 2 years of healthcare experience preferred
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
