Medical Record Scanning Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a qualified candidate to work as a Medical Record Scanning Technician to scan medical records onsite at different provider offices. You will be able to work remotely calling provider offices for the majority of the time, but you will have to go to some provider offices to scan charts. This is a temporary contract position scheduled to last from February 6, 2025 to May 1, 2025.

Who we are Guardian Angel Consulting is a medical record abstraction vendor formed in 2005 with the goal of providing our assistance to help with the demands of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS).

Job Responsibilities

• Schedule an appointment with the provider offices assigned to you to scan medical records
• Drive to provider offices to scan charts and upload the medical records into a web-based application
• Call provider offices and fax out medical record requests.
• Follow-up with provider offices who have not faxed their charts in

Experience and Qualifications:

• Has experience working with medical records.
• Experience working with EMR's
• Can work at least 30 hours per week during typical business hours, 40 hours preferred
• Has strong computer skills with high-speed internet access and unlimited long distance service
• Is available to perform contract work from February 6, 2025 to May 1, 2025
• Maintain compliance with all HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
• Has own reliable vehicle, a current driver's license and auto insurance and is able to drive within an assigned territory
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
