Part-time Hours - Mon - Thurs - 2:00pm - 5:30pm and Friday 12:00pm - 5:30pm.
Guardian Angel Daycare. a Catholic child development center in Draper, Utah is searching for qualified Early Childhood Specialists/Teachers. Candidates must be knowledgeable in child development. Guardian Angel Daycare cares for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old and is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Job Responsibilities
Sincere love for children, curriculum, and teaching.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education and development.
- Manage classroom activities to create an engaging learning environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, addressing their unique needs in areas such as infant care, special education, and behavior management.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, cognitive abilities, and emotional growth.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
-Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must demonstrate the ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to move tables and chairs quickly and efficiently.
Help prepare children for lunch and snack times, and assist others on staff in handing out food and beverage items. Lead the children in the cleanup of trays, cups, and the eating area after every meal. Participate in one-on-one sessions with parents whenever issues involving a child’s behavior at the center need to be addressed, or when such a meeting is requested by the parents.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited high school. Demonstrated organizational abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated reliability and the ability to work within a team. Demonstrated work ethic with 24 months of experience. Must meet the pre-employment requirements of safe environmental program, fingerprints, Background Check, Immunizations, Flu Shot, Food Handlers Card (will provide), CPR Card (will provide), First Aid Card (will provide) are required. Must be able to work as part of a team and follow policy and procedure. Must be self-starter, with the ability to work in an unsupervised, objective/assignment. Strong communication and time management skills are essential.
