We are looking for a compassionate HHA to join our team! As a Home Health Aide, your main role will be to deliver care to our clients within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.
Duties, responsibilities and requirements:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in client health or behavior to appropriate staff
- Engaging clients in meaningful activities and providing emotional support
- Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that clients receive exceptional and meaningful care,
- Free training classes provided for career advancement.
- Med reminders
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able.)
- Assist with client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Prior experience working with senior citizens is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a client's care plan or assignment
- Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired, but not required.
- Willingness to learn!
