Summary:

 

This versatile employee will actively and successfully engage in all aspects of servicing existing and potential customers, including the Teller and Customer Service Representative job functions along with the education and promotion of bank products and services.


Duties include but are not limited to the following:

·        Taking ownership for the well-being and positive community image of the bank, actively participating in offsite or local functions

·        Creating an exceptional service experience within the bank making recommendations for enhancements to better assist customers

·        Building relationships by being knowledgeable of the customer base and serving in a proactive manner

·        Maintaining a positive attitude and exhibiting leadership skills

·        Setting the example for service expectations

·        Balancing the customer’s needs while taking into account the resources and impact to the bank

·        Proactively promoting and educating customers and the community on bank products and services

  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying and determining the cause of the problem, selecting and expediting the best solution, and following up to ensure resolution

·        Demonstrating an accurate knowledge of the bank’s products and services including, but not limited to, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Mobile Deposit, Bank to Bank Transfers, Cash Management, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, and debit cards

·        Attending ongoing sales, product, service, operational and assigned regulatory training

·        Complying with all Bank Secrecy policies and procedures in order to assist in detecting and preventing money laundering and other illegal activities

·        Builds and maintains productive relationships with co-workers and partners throughout the organization

·        Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

·        Work schedule will be Monday-Friday



Assist customers with traditional bank functions including:

Teller Transactions:

Ø Maintain a cash drawer while handling all phases of teller transactions including checking, savings, payments, transfers, certified checks, and bond redemption

Ø Balance the assigned cash drawer following bank guidelines

Ø Work with the team in preparation of change orders for commercial customers, processing night depository contents and deposits by mail, and in opening and closing the vault

Opening & Servicing Accounts:

Ø Open accounts for new and current customers, assist them in determining the accounts and services which will best meet their personal or business banking needs

Ø Make appropriate referrals to other areas of the bank during account opening

Ø Accurately order checks and print debit cards for customers

Ø Scan deposit documentation

Ø Communicate with customers to ensure any products or service requests were received and are correct

Ø Assist safe deposit box customers in accordance with all laws, regulations and procedures

Ø Assist customers with Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) and maintenance contributions and withdrawals in accordance with IRS regulations

Customer Relationship Management:

Ø Proactively seek new business opportunities for the bank

Ø Assist officers and business development personnel as needed to grow relationships including attending offsite appointments and events


Minimum Requirements:

 

·        High school diploma or equivalent

·        Two years of work experience preferred, ideally in sales or banking

·        Proficient computer skills and active engagement in new technology

·        Neat and professional appearance

·        Self-starter, creative thinker, flexible, open to change and exhibit good judgement

·        Ability to lift approximately 30 pounds

·        Energetic personality with willingness to serve customers

·        Attention to detail

·        Ability to communicate with bank management as well as one-on-one customer interaction

·        Reliable with good attendance record

·        Behave according to sound ethical and legal standards when handling customer information
