Operations Manager – Construction
A General Contracting company located around the Tampa, FL area is looking for a hands-on, dynamic, self-motivated, multi-tasking Operations Manager to join our rapidly growing family. This position will be required to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with owners, management, Account Managers and Sales Managers, Project Managers, office staff and third-party partners such as clients and vendors.
Roles/Responsibilities
Ø Operational:
o Help hit all schedules in Construction software
o Set and hit AM/Territory Sales goals.
o Take calls and facilitate emergency after-hours calls. (Delegate tasks)
o Implement One Guardian tracking sheet for Account Managers to follow up with on bid due dates.
o Help maintain Core Values.
o Brainstorm new ideas/methods for improvement and reduce exposure to mistakes.
o Computer proficiency- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook), Builder Trend and Jonas Premier
Ø Proposal and Budgets:
o Help organize/build budgets/set up & attend walks and review all projects before submitting to clients with each Account Manager.
o Continued oversite on project cost and subcontractor pricing.
Ø Managerial Duties:
o All managerial responsibilities (Expense reports review and approval/Maintain organization of office and shop as well as overall appearance of Guardian Assets)
o Review AR/Open Estimates/Open Contracts with each AM weekly.
o Facilitate Disciplinary Action/Termination forms as well as new hires.
Ø Training:
o Hold and Schedule continuing education training for AM/PM’s.
o Hold weekly progress meetings to review all jobs and go over pending walks/bids that need to go out.
o Hold yearly performance reviews. (Be fair but firm/Notate successes and inadequacies)
Ø Client Relations:
o Maintain a professional appearance/Grooming/Dress Code. (Lead by example)
o Track and help respond in a timely manner to client requests/issues/inquiries.
o Ensure that AM bids go out in a timely manner, if they are working so are you.
o Travel with each AM periodically to ensure quality control throughout the duration of the project.
o Follow up and communicate with clients to create back up for each team member.
o Assist certain trade shows where necessary.

o Bi-lingual (Spanish) a HUGE plus
Full-time position is Monday – Friday 7:30a-4p.
Regular holidays and PTO.

Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
